Our premium performance 3M PTFE Glass Cloth Tape 5451 has a brown woven glass cloth backing impregnated with PTFE (polytetrafluoroethylene). This tape provides a slick surface on process machinery and offers an extremely low coefficient of friction which, in combination with a pressure sensitive silicone adhesive, creates a non-stick surface that performs at elevated temperatures.
- Release surface on bonding tools.
- Easy-release surface on packaging and heat sealing machines, ironing and pressing equipment.
- Moisture absorption is close to zero, allowing performance in many humid environments.
- Provides a high temperature release surface for protection and insulation such as the bar underneath where the hot wire seals plastic film.
