Dormer L113203 Series L113 HSS ISO Tap-Drill Set, Bright, E002 + A002, 14 Pieces

The L113203 set of tools contains both taps to create internal threads and also the corresponding drill sizes so you can be sure you have the right size drills to make the holes for the threads. Dormer's A002 jobber drills start the set of with the pre-drilling of the hole. They have a specially designed 118 degree split point which helps to self-center the drill when drilling by hand so no wandering over the surface of the workpiece, and you also get a more accurate sized hole with a better finish. The titanium nitride coated tip increases the life of the drill and improves performance in a wide range of materials including steels, aluminium and stainless steels, giving you a good finish every time. For threading we have the E002 tap which creates a metric coarse thread type. The E002 can be used in a wide range of materials, but is particularly suited for threading soft steel, copper and aluminium. It has bright finish to prevent work piece material from sticking to the cutting edge and a spiral flute design which makes the E002 suitable for threading "blind" holes which stop part way the workpiece. In the L113201 set there are seven A002 drills to drill the holes and seven E002 taps to create the threads – all contained in a useful plastic organiser box to keep the set safe.
