Evotinction is a fantastic looking, thought-provoking hack and stealth game. Evotinction plays in the near future, questioning the relationship between evolution and extinction. With the rapid development of AI, gene manipulation and quantum entanglement, the threat potential is also growing. Our greatest fear is that our greatest achievement might one day turn against their creators. A state-of-the-art research facility has been taken over by virus-infected AI drones that have wiped out people. All connections to the outside world have been capped. There are no signs of human life in the decor. Thomas Liu, the head of the AI development department, stands alone in the facility and is firmly determined to stop the spread of the virus to the outside world and prevent extinction by evolution of humanity. While not battle-tested, as a tech-savvy researcher, Thomas is able to hack, disrupt, and manipulate all these renegade AIs to guide himself through the setup. Long-range signal interference, radio and electromagnetic interference, hologram illusion, malware implantation, system takeover, IFF spoofing.
