These 4-inch FLAT TOP abrasives are exceptionally durable and long-lasting, renowned as 3M Scotch-Brite EXL Unitized abrasives. They 'massage' or 'blend' metal surfaces, eliminating scratches and imperfections. Used sequentially from coarse to very fine, they leave a stunning brushed, satin, or pre-polished finish. Ideal for various metalworking tasks*, they excel in jewelry applications by 'wiping off' or 'blending in' scratches and removing porosity & parting lines. The abrasive technology spreads material along the surface, akin to spreading frosting on a cake. Coarse grades swiftly tackle heavy scratches, while finer grades handle light scratches and achieve pre-polished, satin finishes. They're also great for touching up and flattening metal/enamel edges. Conveniently pre-set, they're ready to use upon arrival. Available in COARSE, MEDIUM, FINE, SOFT FINE, and VERY FINE GRADES. *Not recommended for high-carbon metals, lapidary, or glass.
