This is a rare Cellini craft, aluminum handwrought/hand hammered covered casserole dish with Pyrex insert. While other Cellini craft serving pieces can be found, the beautifully crafted embellishment around the lid handle, renders this one rare and unusual. The three dimensional “sculpture“ around the handle, appears to be crafted from copper with enamel the color applied. the colors are vibrant and shiny and depict, a floral, subject of berries, buds, and foliage. Very striking!
The aluminum of this piece remains shiny. The side handles, feet and top handle are all strongly secured and stable. This is a sturdy piece. It has been well loved and well used. Scratches from use and scrubbing can be seen on both sides of the cover, as well as the interior bottom.
The casserole “bowl” measures 8 1/2” sq & 3 1/2” deep as measured from the interior. The Pyrex insert is thick and in good condition. Exterior of piece measures 6 “ in height from feet to top of handle.
