This is an extra large and very colorful dreamcatcher! I used a 19” hoop and it measures 59 1/2” from the top of the hoop to the bottom of the longest ribbon. So beautiful and unique. This dreamcatcher would look great in any room!
Legend of the Dreamcatcher
Native Americans of the Great Plains believe that the air is filled with good and bad dreams that search all day and night for a destination. Historically, dreamcatchers were hung in the teepee or lodge and on a baby’s cradle board to attract those dreams.
According to the legend, the good dreams, knowing the way, pass through the center hole and then down to the sleeping person. The bad dreams, that are confused and ill-intentioned get caught in the web, where they will perish in the light of dawn.
